Iran Vows Resistance to US Sanctions as Regional Tensions Intensify
Iran has pledged to remain firm against what it describes as “unjust” US sanctions, saying it will continue to rely on both diplomacy and national defence to safeguard its interests.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it maintains strong control over the Strait of Hormuz and accused US officials of spreading misleading claims about shipping through the strategic waterway in an effort to influence global energy prices.
The White House, however, told Al Jazeera that the US naval blockade remains fully in place. Washington also said the Strait of Hormuz is open and has been cleared of mines, while maintaining that the United States is not engaged in negotiations with Iran.
Israeli Settlers Surround Palestinian Home in West Bank
Israeli settlers, accompanied by Israeli forces, have surrounded another Palestinian home in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, according to reports from the ground.
The incident adds to growing tensions in the area, where Palestinian communities have faced increasing confrontations involving settlers and Israeli forces.
Israeli Drone Strike Kills Palestinian in Gaza City

At least one Palestinian has been killed and two others injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting Gaza City’s Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, according to the Wafa news agency.
The injured and the body of the victim were taken to al-Quds Field Hospital, the report said.
The attack followed an earlier Israeli drone strike on a tent inside the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital complex in central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah. That attack reportedly injured three people.
Iran Calls for Greater Regional Cooperation
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said emerging regional agreements could signal the beginning of a “new phase” in which Muslim-majority neighbouring countries rely more on their own capabilities rather than outside powers.
According to Iran’s IRIB news agency, Ghalibaf said regional nations should prioritise cooperation and brotherhood over prolonged rivalries.
He argued that recent developments had demonstrated that foreign powers were neither capable of guaranteeing lasting security in the region nor necessarily willing to do so.
Ghalibaf described security based on the intervention and military presence of outside powers as fragile and dependent. By contrast, he said cooperation among countries within the region could provide a more sustainable foundation for peace and security.

He also stressed the importance of Shia-Sunni unity in Iran, saying it was more than a political slogan and represented an important source of national strength, security and development.
